
Masters’ students, PhD candidates, post-docs, young professionals and young entrepreneurs under 35 years of age are invited to share their ideas in application for the Falling Walls Lab on 8 November 2012 in Berlin. The challenge for Lab participants will be to convince the jury of their project in only 3 minutes.
Innovative research projects are sought from all disciplines as well as business models and initiatives on societal challenges. Of the applications received, 100 participants will be selected to present their ideas at the Falling Walls Lab on 8 November 2012 before a distinguished jury from academia and business. All successful candidates will additionally receive an A.T. Kearney Scholarship to participate in the Falling Walls Conferenceon 9 November 2012 as well as accommodations in Berlin.
The three winners of the Berlin Lab will receive the once-in-a-lifetime chance to present their initiatives and research results at the international scientific conference Falling Walls on 9 November 2012 in Berlin.
The Falling Walls Lab was initiated by the Falling Walls Foundation and A.T. Kearney to advance scientific and business innovations, and to stimulate exchange between young researchers and professionals from different fields. The idea to establish the Falling Walls Lab as a global forum developed from the successful pilot of the programme in Berlin in November 2011, when 100 candidates from 38 nations presented their breakthroughs in 3 minutes each as part of the international Falling Walls Conference. “We are very excited for the ideas and visions that will be presented in Berlin in 2012,” said Dr. Martin Sonnenschein, Managing Director for Central Europe at A.T. Kearney.
