Science View is organizing the National Student Parliament in Greece, which is part of the project “European Student Parliaments on Science”.
Nineteen local student parliaments on the topic “The future of our city” take place in 17 different European countries. Five students of each student parliament will have the chance to participate in the finals, which takes place during the Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF) 2014. ESOF is the largest conference for scientists and research organisations of all scientific disciplines in Europe.
The EUSP project aims at strengthening the dialogue and exchange between students and scientists, introducing students to parliamentary procedures on science and research, enabling students to form a qualified opinion and to assess complex topics, and introducing students to a European community.
Students from across Europe will all discuss parameters of the same topic, namely “The future of our city”: future mobility, demography, civil participation, urban resources, energy efficient houses and flats and smart city. The students are discussing:
- Future mobility – New approaches in the city
- Demography in the city
- City. Climate. Change.
- Energy efficient houses and flats
- Smart city: life in an urban network
The Greek Student Parliament is going to take place in Ellinogermani Agogi between 02 -04 April.
The event is co-organised by the National University of Athens, School of Philosophy, Faculty of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology, and Ellinogermaniki Agogi.
