Journalists on Location – Research Grants
Would you like to go off the beaten path, get to the bottom of things, and research topics beyond your national borders that are unknown to the general public? Would it be easier to conduct research on the story as part of an international team than by doing it alone? We are looking for active journalists who want to go on location to learn, ask questions, dig deeper, and make discoveries in order to incorporate their findings into nuanced reporting related to current affairs that really gets to the heart of the issue.
The Robert Bosch Stiftung is supporting research projects on topics that matter today and in the future and meet peoples’ needs and interests in the region. The research grants are aimed at the preparation of publications in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, South Caucasus, Russia, Greece and in Turkey, as well as in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Journalists can apply for research grants up to € 5,000. This year’s application deadline is September 15, 2014. Please consider the FAQ document for further information.
The Online Application Portal is available in German and English. The program is listed under the German program title ‘Journalisten vor Ort – Recherchestipendien’.
